Earlier this week I talked about my resolutions and goals for the year 2018. But, I also wanted to do a set of goals for each month. This way I can separate my goals from my resolutions, dedicate certain months to certain goals, and add any goals that have come up throughout the year. Maybe it will be a monthly blog post where I share my goals for that month? Let me know if you would like to see that! But for now, here are my goals that I want to accomplish in January.
I have a monthly section of my planner that I usually don’t use and it has a section for notes on the side. This is where I decided to put my goals for the month. Additionally, I’ll be putting the workouts that I do in each both of the monthly calendar, this way I’ll keep the motivation as the month fills out. And without further ado, here are my goals for the month of January.
Workout everyday. Seems daunting, but I have a blog post idea that I would love to do that revolves around this idea. “workout” means a different thing when looking at it at a monthly viewpoint, but this is the goal! I plan on writing down each time I do a workout so that the more I see what I accomplished, the more motivated I’ll feel to keep going. Again, this doesn’t mean that I’ll be running five miles everyday, but I’ll do a workout a day. More details
once if the challenge is actually finished!
Wash bed sheets once a week. Sometimes one week turns into two, but not this month! Every week these sheets are going to be fresh and clean. Initially I wanted to include doing my laundry twice a week as well, but even I knew that was pushing it. It’s important to know what you are capable of and what you can handle at a time. For me, it’s too much laundry.
Wear glasses twice a week. Going along with the hygiene trend, I want to wear my glasses for a day throughout the week. I know it’s suppose to be every three days to give your eyes time to breath, but sometimes I’ll go weeks before I wear my glasses. Baby steps seems like the best way to go. If this goes well I can see a “throw out contacts when you’re suppose to” goal for next month.
Travel to Hawaii. There’s a slim chance that I’ll have the opportunity to go to Hawaii for a couple days this month. I’m not sure if it will happen but I would love it to, therefore it’s a goal! Not all goals are accomplished but not putting it on the list would be giving up all together.
Let me know what your goals are for the month of January! As you can tell from the two “goals” posts, this something I can talk about for hours!
