I think this was one of my most productive January’s I’ve ever had. By having not only yearly goals, but monthly ones as well, I feel these accomplishments more tangible. Remember how I said I would go to the gym every day? Keep reading to see how I did in the month of January, and also to peak at what my goals are for the upcoming month.
It’s been a horrible, no good, very bad day…
My mom says some days are like that.
You know the kind of days that I’m talking about. You arrived late to class, your coffee was somehow burnt and watered down at the same time, your group presentation is due soon and none of your team members are talking, and to top it all off your schedule is jam packed.
We’ve all been there.
Last weekend I was desperately trying to avoid another Netflix binge watching session. This resulted in me watching Gossip Girl because after watching it two times through, I can only watch one or two episodes at a time.
If anyone watches Gossip Girl, you know it’s a great source of solid outfit inspiration. Although a lot of their outfits are pretty out there, but I found a stroke of inspiration when I saw Jenny Humphrey’s outfit in season 4. Continue reading “Outfit of the Week: Elephants and Hats”
Because of the new semester, I spent the day cleaning out my Google Drive folders and creating a new one for the semester. As one does when cleaning is involved, I got distracted and stumbled upon a file named Due May 2018. I thought it was a misplaced file since it was in my personal folder but then I remember: this was a bucket list I made my freshman year of college. Earlier this week I talked about my resolutions and goals for the year 2018. But, I also wanted to do a set of goals for each month. This way I can separate my goals from my resolutions, dedicate certain months to certain goals, and add any goals that have come up throughout the year. Maybe it will be a monthly blog post where I share my goals for that month? Let me know if you would like to see that! But for now, here are my goals that I want to accomplish in January.
The goals post is finally here! I didn’t want to send this out on the first of the month because I really wanted to take the time to sit down and decide what I want to accomplish in 2018. So if you are nosy like me (personally these are my favorite types of posts!) then just keep reading. I’ll be going over:
- my goals
- my resolutions
- my monthly goals
- and my word of the year
“By the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.” If that doesn’t scare you, make you disappointed, or create some kind of reaction, I don’t know what will. There are so many sickening proofs that desperately demand humans to take action. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, the glaciers that are shrinking, animals that are dying, coral that is disappearing. I could go on and on.
I’ll always been passionate about the environment and have taken environmental classes for years now (almost got that environmental minor). And I wanted to create a resolution that reflected that passion. For 2018 I have pledged to #stopsucking and I want to tell you all why you should too.
It’s my last week of winter break (Or my last week of my last winter break ever if we want to get technical). And I’m sitting in my bright clean room typing away thinking about how I’m going to miss my lovely room. I’m finally at a point where my room at home has become like an oasis, designed perfectly how I want it. There’s no rush to go back to my college apartment!
Today I wanted to go though what I loved in December 2017. It was the month of finals so peppermint coffee and Quizlet flashcards definitely makes the list. But go ahead an take a look at what else I was obsessed with in December that isn’t finals related!
Happy first post of 2018! I’m so excited to start of the year blogging and getting back into the swing of things. I’ve been working hard on putting together my yearly goals that I’ll be sharing with you all next week. Until then, I wanted to round up the books that I finished for December.
I had two weeks in December where I had nothing on my agenda except take daily naps, read, and try to hit the gym. What sounds better? Especially with the weather being bitter cold, I’m perfectly happy cuddling up with a cup of tea, ready to binge on a book. I even consciously refused to start a new Netflix series because I didn’t want to get sucked into a new series. Continue reading “Books I Read in December”
