Protecting Yourself During Finals Week: GIVEAWAY!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… and the worst time of the semester. I am that student who is pouting around in class in her Christmas sweater because while I’m stuck studying, all I want to do is be enveloped in Christmas cheer. Is that too much to ask for?! Ha! Well until finals are over, I’ll be spending hours hunched over my computer trying to cram a semester’s worth of information into my brain. I’m teaming up with Phonetic’s Eye wear to talk about their special glasses that protect your eyes from hash computer light. There’s also a giveaway detailed at the end, so make sure to read! Again, thank you to Phonetic for sending me a pair of their glasses — it honestly changed the game!

About Phonetic

Phonetic Eye wear  is a company that is passionate about the health of every person that sets their eyes on a blue lit screen (which is basically everyone!). They work hard to create glasses that is so stylish that customers will want to wear them everyday. I’m wearing the Avery glasses in the color Blueberry Tortoise, I also got these in a non-prescription. You can get them with your prescription or reading glasses.

The main attraction is that these are computer glasses that don’t look like computer glasses. They use a special coating that detects blue light and blocks it. You can see the blue light actually in the reflection of the glasses in some of these pictures — it’s so cool! I always thought about getting computer glasses, but I was really turned off by the yellow tint that they had. These are super subtle in the way that the they protect your eyes. No one can tell they’re computer glasses unless they see the blue tint being reflected off from your screen.

How It’s Helped Me

I can’t give enough accolades about these glasses! To give some insight, I’m on my computer for about two hours in the morning, then I spend five hours behind a screen as I work part time as a secretary. Then I go home and do homework for hours, and wind down the night by watching YouTube videos. That’s not to mention all the times I’m on my phone texting and scrolling through social media. I was getting some really painful headaches during work and it would only get worse when I got home and worked on schoolwork. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong!

I’m not exaggerating when I say that wearing these glasses has helped make my long days behind a computer bearable. I have not had a headache since I started wearing them, and my eyes feel less tired at the end of the day. Because there are no headaches, I’m more focused on the work in front of me which means tasks are accomplished quicker and I can concentrate better. I keep them in my backpack during the week, and on the weekends I throw them in my purse for when I’m out and catch myself on my phone just browsing. Everyone who has complimented me on my glasses has gotten a whole rant on how much I love them. After hearing me gush, they usually end up looking at glasses for themselves. There’s everything to love about these babies!
